Throughout the year, The Committee To Save St. Brigid Church organizes a number of activities to serve the need of the parishioners and the community. St. Brigid parish was, and still is, a viable parish. Everybody is welcome to participate.

- Visit the Victoria Health Care Center .......... December 14, 1997
- Parish Christmas Dinner .......... December 12, 1997
Merry Christmas! Our dinner at the San Francisco Italian Athelic Club had a great turnout and it was a fun evening. Our featured speaker was Monsignor John O'Connor, pastor at St. Mary's Cathedral. Father Cyril O'Sullivan, Father Edmund Hayburn, and Father Victor Sokolov joined us as our special guests. Some highlights of the evening were the drawing of our annual raffle; Santa Claus; music performance by Fr.O'(Irish bagpipe/tin whistle), Jan Robinson(harp) and Mary Baynes(vocalist) ... great company, good food.
- Blessing of the Outdoor Cross .......... November 25, 1997
During the school mass in the school auditorium, Msgr. John J. O'Connor blessed the outdoor cross donated by the Committee to Save St. Brigid Church to the students of St. Brigid School. We wish to thank Msgr. O'Connor, the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, the school faculty, and the students for acknowleding our effort to save St. Brigid Church.

- Picnic Mass .......... September 20, 1997
The outdoor Mass at Lafayette Park was celebrated by Fr. Thomas Reed, S.J. Father Reed is a native San Francisan and the former principal of St. Ignatius High School. He has taught for many years at the University of San Francisco and is currently in residence there.

- Picnic Mass .......... August 23, 1997
The outdoor Mass at Lafayette Park was celebrated by Monsignor John J. O'Connor. Msgr. O'Connor is the pastor of St. Mary's Cathedral. His uncle, Father James O'Connor, was pastor of St. Brigid Church from 1957 to 1968.

- Church Cleanup .......... July 26, 1997
The Committee organized to cleanup the facade of our Church. The work included: removed staples on the wooden doors, polished the metal railings, cleared away rubbish, and washed the steps and sidewalk around the Church. Thanks to all who came to help, and a special thanks to the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception for facilitating the water supply.

- June 30 Vigil .......... June 30, 1997
The vigil marked the 3rd Anniversary of our church closure. Vigil was hold in front of the church from 6:00 p.m. to mid-night. [ PHOTO ]
- Picnic Mass .......... May 31, 1997
The outdoor Mass at Lafayette Park was celebrated by Father Cyril O'Sullivan, Associate Pastor of St. Finn Barr Church.
- Soccer Final .......... May 10, 1997
St. Brigid soccer team, the Mariners, won the San Francisco Diocesan League title in a championship game against St. Cecilia parish. The 3-1 win was the fourth such victory in five years.

- St. Patrick's Day Parade .......... March 16, 1997
We won two categories in this year's parade: 2nd place in the "Best I.D. Unit" and 6th place on the "Best Marching Unit, Open Class". Despite the rainy weather, everyone who came to support had a terrific time.
- St. Patrick's Dinner .......... March 14, 1997
To follow the parish tradition of celebrating St. Patrick's Day, the dinner was held at the San Francisco Italian Athelic Club.
- St. Brigid Feast Day .......... February 1, 1997
Fr. Victor Sokolov, Pastor of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, was very kind to invite the Committee to participate in the celebration of the St. Brigid Feast Day.
- Donation of Cross to the School .......... January 15, 1997
The Committee has presented St. Brigid School with a new crucifix to hang in the auditorium where the school holds Mass during the church closure. The Committee hopes this contribution will help temporarily fill the spiritual void which has been in existence since the closure of the church. [ PHOTO ]
