Summer Tournaments

The Sacramento Gold Cup Tournament is always the first weekend (Saturday & Sunday) in June, games held at Cosumnes River College, Sacramento, California. Teams come from Oregon, Nevada State, northern and southern California. It is a festival of soccer teams coming together. Beginning of March, we begin preparations and will be contacting each team. Players who are interested plan for to be available for this weekend. We are allowed to include players who are not registered in our league. 2009 Tournament: June 6^th & 7^th (Sat & Sun)

Message from Richard Williams, organizer of the Annual Gold Cup Tournament: February 11, 2009 Greetings Soccer Community. The Sacramento Adult Soccer League, an affiliate of CSAN, is proud to once again host the Sacramento Gold Cup on June 6 and 7 (Sat & Sun) on the beautiful fields of the Cosumnes River College campus. This will be our sixteenth year hosting this prestigious event. Last year we had a great tournament involving 36 teams! Those who have answered the call to compete in our past tournaments traveled from various communities, such as Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Reno, Modesto, Dublin CA, San Rafael, Concord, Travis and Beale AFB, Stockton, and other locations. During our last tournament the weather was beautiful (high 80s to low 90s), the action was non-stop on six full-sized fields, good food and drinks were available, and we like to believe fun was had by all. The fine teams of the Sacramento Adult Soccer League would like to again invite our friends back to this soccer party. In addition, we hope to see some new faces from other reaches of California and Nevada. In light of the current economic environment many of us have to deal with, we are happy to announce that team fees will be maintained at the same levels that existed during the last two tournaments. I have attached an announcement flyer for the Sacramento Gold Cup and a team registration form. Team payment and a completed registration form are due no later than April 15, 2009, in order to secure your spot in the Gold Cup. Our Sacramento Adult Soccer League website will be updated in the next few weeks with further Cup information.
